LAURA FERN FULLER (SOULODRE) (nee LEGGETT) After a long life joyfully lived with undaunting spirit, Fern passed away peacefully on December 14, 2004 surrounded by family. Beloved daughter of Elsie and Robert Leggett, Laura Fern was born in Egerton, AB, on October 17, 1925 and was raised in Wainwright, AB. In 1945, she moved to Saint-Boniface, MB, where she married Pierre Soulodre. Together they lovingly raised eight children. Widowed in 1979, she married Leslie Fuller of Edmonton in 1981. Fern was a loving wife, a devoted mother and a tireless homemaker. Predeceased by her son Robert (Bob) in 1998, Fern is survived by her husband Leslie; children, Denise (Alan), Cecile (Bill), Annette (George), Richard (Barb), Colette (Doug), Marcel, and Gilbert (Rosemary); stepchildren, Barbara, Greg, Glen (Joan), and Gerry (Wendy); grandchildren, Christopher, Marie, and David; stepgrandchildren, Robert, Emily, and Ryley; brother Bud (Lois); Aunt Lois, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended Soulodre, Fuller, and Leggett families, and many friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Leung-Shing, the Poseidon Care Centre, and especially the staff of the fourth floor. The funeral will be held at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, 252 Dubuc St. in Norwood on Friday, December 17, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the St. Boniface Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba, the Poseidon Care Centre, 70 Poseidon Bay Winnipeg, MB R3M 3E5, or the charity of your choice.
