Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN (JACK) FOWLER On December 14, 2004 at the Health Sciences Centre, Jack Fowler, aged 84 years, of Gimli, beloved husband of Florence Fowler. Jack was predeceased by his parents and a brother James, and leaves surviving brother Frank (Mary); sisters, Margie (Charlie), Barbara (Bob) and Carol, and sister-in-law Dorothy, all of the United States. Also left surviving are in-laws, Dempsey (Rae), Zeke (June), Jack (Dorothy), Norman (Doddi), Pearl and Barbara Valgardson, Marion (Colin) Nesbet and numerous nieces and nephews. Jack was also predeceased by an infant son, James, in 1946. Jack has served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during the Second World War from December 30, 1941 to April 4, 1945 and also again from December 8, 1950 until retiring on February 8, 1970. He then worked for Metropol at Seagrams from 1973 to 1985. Jack served as councillor for the Town of Gimli from 1977 to 1986. I would like to thank Dr. C. Chapnick for his care; to the doctors and nurses at M.I.C.U., Health Sciences Centre; to my brother and sister-in-law Jack and Dodo for being there for me at all times; and my sister Marion for being there when I really needed her. As per Jack's request cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will take place at a later date. Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Gimli in care of arrangements.

Dear Florence, I was saddened to learn of Jack's passing. Our paths crossed infrequently over the years, but my memories of Jack (mainly from my childhood) were of a kind and patient man; his warmth, humour, and irrepressible New England accent will be missed by anyone fortunate enough to have shared time with him. - Posted by: Robert (Bob) Adanac (Acquaintance) on: Dec 29, 2004
