BERTHA ( BAASJE) MUNSTERS (nee VAN DE MOLENGRAAF) Born in Acht, The Netherlands, June 15, 1918. Our beloved mother passed away peacefully at the Victoria General Hospital on Wednesday, December 8, 2004. Bertha was predeceased by her loving husband Martin; and precious daughter Mieke; and is survived by her five sons and their partners, Henk and Antoinette, Arnold and Barbara, Frank and Sharon, Martin and Penny, and Ben and Joanne, as well as 15 wonderful grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; sister Nolda; sisters-in-law, Mien Munsters and Marie Munsters; and many nephews, nieces and close friends, especially Adriaan de Laat, Lena Schoofs and Donna Barnes. Mom's last few months were very difficult, but she faced them with the same courage and determination that bonded our family so closely while she was alive. We will miss her so dearly, but her memories will keep us warm always. Our deepest gratitude goes to Ron and staff at the Victoria Hospital, Three North unit, to Dr. Richard Blouw, and to the entire Home Care crew, for their loving care that comforted Mom so much when she needed it most. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 21, starting with a mass at Our Lady of Victory Roman Catholic Church, Osborne Street and Arnold Avenue, commencing at 11:00 a.m., followed immediately by a memorial service at Thomson In the Park, located at 1291 McGillivray Blvd. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Victoria General Hospital Foundation Inc.
