GERTRAUD GERTIE MARTHA ZACHARKO June 17, 1923 - December 14, 2004 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Oma and great-grandmother. Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, our mother, Gertraud, passed away at the Riverview Health Centre, at the age of 81 years. She is survived by her daughters, Angela (Robert), Stephanie and Bobbie (Darcy); her sons, Michael and Peter; grandchildren, Jeremy, Danielle, Matthew, Nick and Noah; and her great-grandchildren, Aurora, Brynn, and Caelan. In accordance with Gertraud's wishes, a private celebration of her life will take place in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 2157 Portage Ave. at Sharp Boulevard. Our family wishes to thank all those who took care of Gertraud Gertie at the Riverview Care Centre, especially Sheldon, Susan and numerous hard working staff in her times of need. As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers and cards, our family asks that a donation in Gertraud's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald St., Suite 200, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6 or the Riverview Health Centre, 1 Morley Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3L 2P4.
