GEORGE WILLIAM FOX Peacefully surrounded by his wife and children, George passed away on December 13, 2004. Dad was born on March 7, 1927 and grew up in East Selkirk. He held various jobs and retired from Beaver Bus Lines after many years of service. Dad enjoyed family and spending time with his grandchildren, hunting and fishing, long walks, getting in the bush to mark trees for the boys, a good joke, telling us stories of past adventures driving the bus tours, the trips to Waco, Texas with his brother Charlie and Rubina, and he always looked forward to getting together with his old buddy Rudy Buffie when he came back to town. Dad loved his little boy Sammy, who gave him hours of love and companionship. Grandpa will also be missed by his other babies , Sheena and Max. Left to remember his love of family is his loving wife of 49 years, Stephanie. Children and grandchildren, Carol and Raymond, Bradley and Kristy Gregg, John and Cathy, Heather, Nicholas, and Shandal Fox, Susan and Bryan, Carlene Pyziak, Jason and Sheila, Cody and Carson Fox, Mike and Sandra, Alayna and Collin Fox. George was a loving and fun Grandpa. His grandchildren were all special and he made sure they knew that. Alayna's comforting pats on his back helped Grandpa feel better. Collin's eagerness always brought a smile to his face. Grandpa loved to talk about and watch hockey with Brad and Kristy. Precious weekend visits with Cody and Carson were one of the highlights for Grandpa. Carlene loved the times when her and her Poppa would play hide and seek. Grandpa (Scruffy) would let Shandal cheat at Uno by looking at the card's reflections in his glasses! Grandpa taught Nick how to shoot and hunt. They would fish till there was no tomorrow, then they would eat the corned beef sandwiches Grandma made earlier that day. Heather shared Grandpa's love of animals and nature, she loved to feed the grey squirrels with him. Grandpa enjoyed going to watch his grandchildren perform Ukrainian dancing whenever he could. George was predeceased by his parents, John and Gertrude Fox, brother Charlie, parents-in-law Michael and Josephine Zeleski, and daughter-in-law Sharon Fox. Our family would like to thank our angels from Home Care and Palliative Care. They made it possible for Dad to stay at home with Mom and Sammy. Every one of you are great and we are very grateful for your compassionate care. God bless you. At Dad's request there will be no service. Cremation has taken place. Dad will rest with his parents at St. Peter's Dynevor. Flowers are gratefully declined. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in George's memory to Palliative Care, Selkirk and District Hospital, 100 Easton Dr., Selkirk, MB, or to St. Peter's Dynevor Church, Box 19, Group 215, RR 2, Selkirk, MB R1A 2A7.
