WILLA MAE SHEARER December 11, 1937 - December 14, 2004 On Tuesday, December 14, 2004, after a courageous battle with cancer, Willa Shearer died at the Riverview Health Centre. She will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Tarleton Jeff of 42 and one half years of marriage; their two sons, David (Bridget) and Kevin (Nadine Powell); and by her six grandchildren, the lights of her life, Brook, Makayla, Brenden, Morgan, Sam and Mason. Memories of Willa will also be treasured by her sisters, Margaret Greaves and Lois Kerslake (Don); her brother Bob Patterson (Joan); her sister-in-law Margaret Ridgeway (Clayton); and by several cherished nieces and nephews. Willa was born in Souris, MB and was predeceased by her parents, Gordon and Jessie Patterson; her brother-in-law Tom Greaves of Souris, MB; and her infant grandson Jacob Shearer of Winnipeg, MB. In accordance with Willa's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. A private family interment will take place at a later date. Family and friends are invited to a reception in celebration of Willa's life on Monday, December 20 at 2:00 p.m. at the Army Navy and Air Force Veterans In Canada, 3584 Portage Ave. Tarleton, David and Kevin extend sincere gratitude to family and friends for their love and support during this difficult time. A special thanks to Dr. S. Navaratnan and the staff at the CancerCare and the Palliative Care, who made it possible for Willa to be at home until her admission to the Riverview Health Centre where she received wonderful care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations in Willa's memory may be made to either CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9, to the Palliative Care Program, A8024 - 409 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2H 2A6 or to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3. Nothing beautiful in this world is ever really lost... Those we cherish will always live on in memory. In the beautiful memories may you find peace...
