JOSEPH ANSON WILLARD March 19, 1942 - December 11, 2004 Peacefully on December 11, 2004 Joe left Florida, his favourite place on the earth to ascend to his new home in Heaven. He is predeceased by his father Adrian Anson Willard, his mother Mary Lins, sister Sandra Gregor and granddaughter Miranda Willard. He journeyed back to Florida for one last play in the sun. His spent many of his days playing with his cars and discussing old cars with many of his friends and visitors. He visited his favourite beach and the Jetty's several times. He enjoyed a boat ride in the gulf and fishing with his son and grandson. It was everything he wished for. Joe was a well known business man of St. Andrews for 36 years, who cherished his employees. He will be remembered for his knowledge, love and passion of antique cars, especially Fords. There are many stories and memories of his generosity to others and good times had in Florida and Winnipeg. He will be immensely missed by the love of his life Marie, wife of 42 years; his children, Cheryl (Rick), Richard (Joanne), Nichole (Dave), Sandra (Robert); his grandchildren, Danielle, Kristine, Melissa, Darryl, Mitchell, Nicholas and Mackenzie. He will also be missed by his sisters, Cathy (Chris) (of Winnipeg), Sharon (of Vancouver); and brothers, Keith and Eddie (of Winnipeg), Joe (the General); also leaves to mourn many brothers-in-law and sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and many many friends he's made over the years. In honour of the General we salute Flatheads Forever. Special thanks to the South Florida Hospice staff and all his neighbours and friends for all their love and support. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of South Florida, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL, 34238. Service to be held at St. Theresa's Church, 3597 Main St., West St. Paul, Winnipeg, MB, Thursday, December 23 at 2:00 p.m.
