NELLIE MALONE Peacefully on December 14, 2004, at the Lundar Personal Care Home, with her family at her side, Nellie Malone, beloved Mother, Granny and Great Granny aged 91 years of Lundar, MB. She leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Dorothy Halldorson and Ann Palmer; grandsons, Albert (Kate), Leo (Jessica) Halldorson, Darrel (Betty), Dean (Jana) Palmer; and granddaughter Lorie Halldorson; great-grandchildren Joshua and Amy Halldorson. Mom was predeceased by her sons-in-law Jonas Halldorson and Ray Palmer. Mom was born August 25, 1913 in Margo, SK and spent most of her life between Winnipeg and Lundar. On retirement in 1978, she returned to Lundar, purchasing her small home with the white picket fence. Mom was known as Granny, not only to her family but also to many friends. She enjoyed her flower garden and getting her tomato plants started early. Her favourite time was tea-time with her family and friends where you were served biscuits, homemade jam and tea. In earlier years, Mom enjoyed music, dancing, bingo and travelling. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 19, at the Lundar Legion Hall with Pastor Bill Watson officiating. Interment to follow in the Otto Churchyard Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lloyd Johnson, Donna Kostyshyn, Brian Lavallee, Warren Lavallee, John Stefanson and Larry Thorsteinson. Honorary pallbearers will be Arnold Kirby, the Fjeldsteds - Kris, Sylvia, Kristjan and Cody, the Cleggs - Rick, Kathi, Jill and Dustyn. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Nellie's memory to the Otto Church and Cemetery Fund, PO Box 11, Lundar, MB R0C 1Y0. The family wishes to thank Dr. Burnet, the nurses and staff at the E.M. Crowe Memorial Hospital.
