NEALE EDWARD DRIVER June 18, 1936 to December 15, 2004 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Neale, after a long and courageous battle. Predeceased by his mother Margaret and father Victor and survived by his loving wife Roberta Bobby ; children, Mitchell (Marie), Paul (Maryann) and Angela. Grandchildren, Alexa, Devon, Noah, Luke, Ryan, Graham, Andrew; and sister Patricia McDevitt (Bob) in Montreal. Neale was born in Winnipeg and grew up in St. Vital, attended Windsor and Glenlawn. As a certified management accountant (CMA), he held senior accounting and financial positions with several Winnipeg companies, the last being Divisional Controller with Beatrice Foods, Medo-Land Division. With a love and aptitude for sports, he excelled at baseball, basketball, hockey and track and field. He first coached basketball at the St. Vital YMCA, then little league baseball. While his family was growing up, Neale volunteered at the community club for various sport teams. He was a great fan of Goldeyes and Moose games. Another of his enjoyments was breakfast on Thursdays at the Dakota Hotel. There he met old friends, teammates, one-time foes, and new friends for laughter and comradeship. Thanks guys! Vacations and holidays that included time together with his family were very special to Neale. Whether it was Victoria Beach or Sunset Beach, these were the moments he cherished most. He travelled when he could and visited the old country as well as a great deal of Canada and the United States. The family wishes to thank all caregivers at CancerCare Manitoba, home care and Riverview E3 unit. Celebration of life will be held on Monday, December 20 at 3:30 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., with Rev. Mark Whitehead officiating. In lieu of flowers donation may be made in Neale's memory to a charity of choice. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
