NORMAN HUNTER It is with great sadness we announce that Norman S. Hunter passed away peacefully on December 15, 2004. Norm leaves to cherish his memory, Fran, his wife of 58 years; son Ed and wife Luanne; and his grandchildren, Jaclyn and Keri (Geoff) Renouf. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Florence Hunter; and his brother Ralph. Norm was born in Venn, SK on May 12, 1919 and grew up on a farm near Wadena, SK. He served with the 13th Field Regiment RCA from 1941 to 1945. After the war, Norm and Fran married and had an electrical/hair salon business in Wadena, SK. They moved to Sault Ste. Marie, ON where he worked as a customs officer before moving to Boissevain in 1960, where they owned and operated a clothing store. In 1974, they moved to Winnipeg, MB. Norm was a loving husband and devoted father and grandfather. He was a quiet and caring person who was liked by everyone he met. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. The family would like to thank the staff at the Grace Hospital 3rd Floor and the Grace Hospice for the wonderful care and compassion you gave to Dad. At Norman's request, a private family service will be held at a later date. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Norm's memory to the Grace Hospice, 260 Booth Dr., Winnipeg, MB R3J 3R5.
