Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY ELIZABETH PERSAUD (nee DREPAUL) It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of our beloved mom, Mary Elizabeth Persaud. Popularly known as teacher Mary on Friday, December 17, 2004 at the age of 84. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Lawrence, her parents and four siblings. She is survived by her children, Laurel (Arthur) Hall of Australia, Esther (Basil) Jagernath of New York, Luke (Shurlette) of Edmonton, Maureen Kehler, Marvyn (Doreen), Beatrice (Nae) Narine of Winnipeg and Derek of Toronto. She also leaves to mourn her eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild, two sisters and a brother in Guyana, Ken Drepaul and Mabel Muttoo of Canada. Mary has had a long and distinguished career as a teacher in Guyana, South America. She immigrated to Canada since 1982 where she lived in Edmonton, Toronto and Winnipeg. She has touched many lives in a positive way, not only as a teacher, but also as a friend and mentor. We will miss her zest for life, her bubbly personality and friendly attitude to everyone she met. As trees are trimmed and wreaths are hung, As loved ones gather and carols sung, You're thought of with love and wished the best, Of all that makes you the happiest. We love you Mom. We wish to thank all the doctors, nurses and support staff at the St. Boniface Hospital and Health Sciences Centre (SICU) for their exemplary care and support to us and our mother. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 21 at the Beautiful Saviour Lutheran Church, 1541 St. Mary's Rd. With viewing to take place one half hour prior to the service. A reception will follow in the lower auditorium. A private interment will take place in the Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens.
