Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIRENE REIMER (nee MARTENS) Unexpectedly on December 18, 2004 at The Grace General Hospital, Irene slipped peacefully into the waiting arms of her Saviour. Irene is survived by her husband, Jake; her children, Eleanor, Robert (Alison Thiessen), and Harold (Natalie) of Oakville, ON; and her grandchildren, Harrison and Madison. She leaves to mourn two sisters, Katharina Dick and Elizabeth (Kurt) Enss; one brother, Peter (Magdalene) Martens of Edmonton, AB; two sisters-in-law, Erna Martens and Tina (David) Unger, as well as many nieces, nephews and their families. Irene was predeceased by her parents; one brother (David Martens); and two sisters in infancy. She will be sadly missed by those who loved her generous heart and knew of her many hours of devoted service to her family, friends and church. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, December 23, at 11:00 a.m. at the First Mennonite Church, 922 Notre Dame Ave. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, December 22 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Home, with a short devotional at 7:15 p.m. Friends so wishing may make a donation in Irene's memory to the Grace General Hospital Foundation, 300 Booth Dr., R3J 3M7. Janet, Philip, Cameron and Jay are saddened about the loss of Rob's mom.
