DIANE LAURETTE EMERANCE NORCOTT (nee MORIN) December 18, 2004 It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Diane after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her beloved parents, Blanche and Paul and is survived by her loving husband Don; sisters, Doris Lambert (Phillip), Doreen; and brothers, Lucien (Karen), Oliver (Lois), Perry (Margie) and many nieces and nephews. Diane was born in Winnipeg but at age 12 moved with her family to a farm in Mariapolis, where she continued her education at Bruxelles Convent. When she returned to Winnipeg she worked various jobs eventually retiring from Unisys in 1991. While employed there she met and married Don and cherished 23 happy years together. Diane loved nature and spent 16 enjoyable summers and winters at her cottage, visiting family and friends and taking long walks with her faithful companions Rusty and Sam. Above all Diane will be known for having a big heart. She was always there to help anyone, especially her parents, and sister. While fighting the battle with cancer, she would still go to the Tache Centre to visit the residents. Her biggest wish was to do volunteer work at Tache Centre. She will be greatly missed by all. Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 23 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • To the Norcott/Morin Families, My heart goes out to you today. I was saddened to hear that our dear Diane was no longer with us, but it's no surprise because God only takes the good angels, and I know that Diane has a wonderful spot in heaven. I was blessed to have known her. She was always a ray of sunshine, laughing and joking. She loved people and people loved her. I will miss her. - Posted by: Gisèle Nolette (Friend) on: Dec 21, 2004
