MYKOLA KENCALO Peacefully on December 20, 2004, Mykola passed away at the age of 82 years. Mykola is survived by his loving wife Helen; daughters, Orysia and Olga (Don); and extended family in the Ukraine. He was predeceased by his son Michael, his parents, brothers and sisters in the Ukraine. Mykola was born on August 4, 1922 in Jaworiw, Ukraine to Marta and Iliya Kencalo and came to Canada in 1949. He was employed by Cravats Tailors for most of his working life. Mykola was a very easygoing, sociable person who enjoyed a good joke and laugh. He had a good sense of humour and could laugh at himself and had a knack of making you smile when things were down. Mykola always tried to see the brighter side of thing and took things as they came along each day at a time. He had a philosophy of things have a way of working themselves out - learn from the past but don't worry too much about the future because you might miss out on the present . Mykola also had a great love of nature, birds, animals and loved to go for long walks. The family would like to thank the doctors at Seven Oaks Hospital Emergency Department and Health Sciences Centre MICU and GB3 for their care and compassion. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, December 22 at 6:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday, December 23 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 250 Jefferson Ave. Interment to follow in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mykola's memory to a charity of your choice. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
