JOHN KENNETH (KEN) CARSWELL It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of our husband, father and grandfather on December 23, 2004. Ken was born in Winnipeg on July 9, 1934. He was predeceased by his parents Allan and Betty; his wife of 37 years, Audrey in 1994; his wife Diane in 2002 and his brother Don in 1978. Left to remember his drive, determination, devotion and boundless generosity is his loving wife Silva; from his first marriage, daughter Karen and her husband Gary Chalmers, granddaughters, Jennifer and Toni and grandon Ken, and daughter Donna and her husband Kerry Johnson, brothers Al (Vicky) and Bob (Dorothy); brother-in-law Paul Rousson (Margaret-Anne); longtime friend and business partner Donn (Boomer) McLaughlin and Silva's family Brian (Sheila, Brian Jr. and Ashley), Shelley (Floyd, Nicci and Kaci) and Mark (Laura, Jay and Cortney) as well as many other friends and relatives. Ken attended John M. King, General Wolfe and Daniel McIntyre schools before joining McCabe Grain. He worked for National Grain and United Grain Growers before starting Casey Grain in 1978, which he operated until his retirement in 1995. His retirement years were spent travelling, playing at the game of golf, spending time at his cottage at Grand Beach as well as time with his family. Ken will be missed by all those whose lives he touched and his memory will be treasured always. Forever in our hearts. At Ken's request, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Ken's life will be held on Wednesday, December 29, at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Flowers are gratefully declined. If so desired, friends may make donations to the charity of their choice. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE 885-9715
