FREDERICK WALTER ANDERSON It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Walter Anderson on December 23, 2004 peacefully at the Pi al surrounded by his family at the age of 84 years. He leaves to cherish his memory daughters, Terry (Ron), Heather (Herman); grandchildren, Lisa, Cara, Bruce, Tammy, Jonathan, Tanya and several grandchildren. Walter was predeceased by his wife Victoria (nee Rurak); son Arvid; a sister Annie Peterson (Fred). Walter was born and lived his whole life on his farm on Riverland Road. He was very proud that the farm was in the family name since 1897. He met and later married Victoria Rurak and began working at Winnipeg Hydro at Pointe du Bois. He worked initially at the railway between Slave Falls and Pointe. He later drove school bus from Pointe to Lac du Bonnet. He was a very active and talented man who enjoyed the outdoors. More recently he enjoyed activities with friends at the Pioneer Club in Lac du Bonnet. His sense of humour and kindness will be greatly missed. Special thanks to the Staff of the Pinawa Hospital especially to Dr.'s Nel and Grayling as well as the entire nursing staff. If friends so desire memorial donations in his memory may be made to the Manitoba Heart Stroke Foundation. Friends may pay their respects on Sunday, December 26, 2004 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Russell Funeral Home, Beausejour, MB with Prayer services starting at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 27, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. from the Lutheran Church of the Cross, Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba with Pastor Don Reimer officiating.
