Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryISABEL FUNNELL 1901 - 2004 Isabel passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2004 at the age of 103. For the last two and a half years she has resided at the Poseidon Care Centre, 70 Poseidon Bay, Winnipeg. She was born in a small rural village in England called Lidlington in Bedfordshire. In 1912 she came to Canada with her parents. She attended Mulvey and Isbister schools and the Success Business College where she studied bookkeeping, shorthand and typing. When her business course was finished, she worked for the MacDonald Lumber Company and then for J.A. Banfield Co. furniture dealers, where she worked in the credit department until she was married. In September, 1924, she married Raymond Harrison Funnell. They celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in 1989. They enjoyed many happy years together at their cottage at Victoria Beach. She joined the Ladies Auxiliary to the Deer Lodge Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion in 1935 and has been a member continuously since then. Isabel is survived by her two sons, John and his wife Dorothy, and Rodger and his wife Elaine; her five grandchildren, George Funnell and his wife Carol, M. Catherine Bachynski, Kim LaRizza and her husband Joe, Cheryl McHugh and her husband Perry, and Linda Funnell; 19 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held The Church of St. Stephen and St. Bede, 99 Turner Ave. at Mount Royal on Tuesday, December 28 at 11:00 a.m., with the Rev.
