Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed from the arms of his loving family into the arms of his Heavenly Father. Cherishing wonderful memories are his precious wife Minnie; son Gerald and wife Grace Plett, grandchildren, Christine and Edward Klassen (and their two children), Graham and Deborah Plett (and their four children), Jonathan and Kristin Plett (and their three children); daughter Elaine and husband Leonard Peters, grandchildren, Sherryl Peters (and her two children), Kevin and Natasha Peters, and Brent Peters; daughter Carolyn and husband Brad Nance, grandchildren, Lindsay Nance and Allison Nance. Also remembering years of love and laughter are two sisters, Mary Loewen of Winnipeg, and Tina Bankman of Abbotsford, BC; and brother Peter and Sue Plett of Winnipeg, as well as many nieces and nephews. Henry was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Helena (Wall) Plett; a brother in infancy who was buried in Russia; two sisters, Helena (Plett) Rempel and Justina (Plett) Fehr. Henry was born to Peter and Helena (Wall) Plett in the city of Trubetzkoje, Russia. Four siblings were born there, Henry being the third oldest of seven children. Henry reached out to many people at his church family (Elmwood Mennonite Brethren Church), and at his home at Donwood Manor. His heart's passion was serving the Lord and ministering to others, most importantly to his family. The family would like to express sincere thanks to the doctors and the wonderful caring staff at Concordia Hospital I.C.U. and the staff on Third Floor East for their support and encouragement, both to our father and to us as family over the last three weeks. A celebration of God's faithfulness in Henry's life will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at the Elmwood Mennonite Brethren Church, 145 Henderson Hwy., Winnipeg, with viewing one hour prior to service. Interment will be at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Family Life Network, 225 Riverton Ave., Winnipeg, R2L 0N1, or Donwood Manor Foundation, 171 Donwood Dr., Winnipeg, R2V 0V9.
