WALTER FRANK CASSELMAN 1921 - 2004 After a long illness with Alzheimer's, it is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Walter Frank Casselman, our beloved husband, father and grandfather. Walter was born on January 6, 1921 in Williamsberg, ON to Clinton and Angelina Casselman. He was predeceased by his parents and all his siblings but one, Mahlon Casselman of Morrisberg, ON. Walter worked in his father's memorial business until leaving to join the Navy in the Second World War, in which he served his country proudly from 1940 - 1945. He met and married Edith McFaul in N. Ireland at the end of the war. After the Navy, Dad joined the Army and served for 30 years. He also worked at Safety First and Coldstream until retirement. Dad was always busy going out of his way to help family and other, using his carpentry skills whenever he could. Dad will be so greatly missed by his wife Edith; children, Pat (Jack), Rick (Brenda) and Karen Mike); and their families respectively, grandchildren, Jason (Jenni), Jackie, Rob (Suzanne), Tim, Heather, Valerie and Stephen; great-grandchildren, Jeyden, Jerrit and Ethan; and extended family and friends. The family would like to thank all the staff at T3, T6, and 3E at Deer Lodge Centre, and the Grace Hospital for their care and compassion shown to Dad. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 29 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Reception and interment to follow. Dad, you are forever in our memories. We love you beyond words. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Winnipeg, 10-120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2.
