Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELISA VICTORINE ROY 1924 - 2004 Mrs. Elisa Marie Victorine Roy, wife of the late Mr. Charles-Auguste Roy, was called home to dwell in the house of the Lord, on Thursday, December 23, 2004 at the age of 80 years. Elisa was born on November 16, 1924 in Ste. Genevieve, MB, a daughter to Ferdinand Fiola and Noellie Brisson. She married Charles-Auguste Roy on April 30, 1947 at Ste. Genevieve. Elisa was a homemaker and enjoyed every aspect of it. When she found time for herself she liked to knit, embroider, crochet and tend to her garden. Elisa was a member of St. Patrick's Parish and St. Mary's Parish at different times during her life since she moved to Medicine Hat, AB. She was family oriented and in her heart she fondly kept many memories of family celebrations, especially her 25th wedding anniversary. Elisa's memory will be cherished by her children, Bernadette (Roy) Shelby, Jacinte (Jeannot Bourgoin), Andre Roy, Liliane (Roy) McRae, Lucien Roy (Patricia Carlson), Florence (Allan Maczuga), Viateur Roy (Luba Figelova), Albert Roy (Lynn Holton) and Georgette (Greg Whiteford); 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Marie Hacault, Sister Olivine Fiola, Emilien Fiola, Amedee Fiola, Rosaire Fiola as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Besides her husband, Charles-Auguste Roy, she was predeceased by her parents; two children in infancy, Lorraine Roy and Veronique Roy; her sisters and brothers, Josephine Fiola, Angele Proulx, Joseph Fiola, Arthur Fiola, Armandine Fiola, Arthur Fiola, Pierre Fiola, Therese Robidoux, Aime Fiola, Louis Fiola, Florida Hutlet and Jules Fiola. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 - 13 St. S.W., Medicine Hat on Tuesday, December 28 at 7:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 238 - 2nd Ave. N.E., Medicine Hat on Wednesday, December 29, at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. John Maes celebrant. Interment to follow in the Roman Catholic section at Hillside Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to the Medicine Hat Renal Dialysis Unit, in care of the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital, 666 - 5 St. S.W., Medicine Hat, AB T1A 4H6 or to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102, 73 - 7 St. S.E., Medicine Hat, AB T1A 1J2.
