JAMES DUNCAN ADAMSON July 19, 1922 - December 24, 2004 It is with great sadness that the family of James Jim Adamson announce his passing after a sudden and brief illness. He leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife of 57 years Marie, his son James Jim and wife Valerie, daughter Bonnie and husband Boyd, grandchildren Melissa, Christine (Matt), Dayle (Rick), Jamie, and great-grandson Nicholas. Also mourning his loss are his sisters Cay McKelvey and Sheila Baran, brother Bert Adamson, brothers and sisters-in-law as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Jim was born in Scotland and the family moved to Canada when he was very young, settling in the Weston area of Winnipeg. He served in the Armed Forces during the Second World War. He was a longtime employee of Winnipeg School Division No. 1 retiring in 1986. His retirement was spent enjoying his passion for golf and his love for helping family and friends. Jim was a loving husband, wonderful father, and caring and generous Pops to his grandchildren, we will all miss him dearly. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of the Emergency Ward and 3rd Floor of Concordia Hospital for their caring and compassion. At his request cremation will take place and there will be no service. Flowers are gratefully declined. A donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Arrangements Entrusted To: Voyage Funeral Home Crematorium 220 Hespeler Ave. @ Henderson Hwy. 668-3151
