He thought of his family and friends before himself. His love for life was bountiful and shared with all who came in contact with him. Tony had a beautiful and warm smile, which seemed to light up a room when he walked in. This was so evident upon the birth of his son Tyson Hodgins (B.D. October 10, 2004) who he loved and truly adored. A memorial service celebrating Tony's life will be held on Thursday, December 30 at 10:00 a.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Dr., Steinbach. Sunday November 10, 2013.... Incredibly almost NINE years later, I was first true love and Signs prove I earned your first entrée... no matter how long it took! Thank you for that alone. Our son ... (that feels SO GOOD TO SAY) OUR son, just turned 9, his birthday was a fun... a red candle fell and smashed... Several people in the room thought about you when that red candle fell off the television. Tyson is in grade four now.. and looks exactly like you. He knows exactly who you are and how special you are to everybody. Your family has made it quite clear in every way they could that they blame me for your choices. They lied about where you would be laid to rest, and requested I not attend your funeral. Little did they know I knew the pastor. No one barely spoke to you in 2003 and 2004 except for your mom and sister... so for Steinbach to be considered your home is so sad. You hated that little town, so many bad memories for you. Same goes for St. Teresa Point, You were unhappy until you met me. I'm sorry and always will be for our young love relationship, I wish you could have been stronger when times got rough... The truth is, you came from a tough upbringing my friend, you were too wise for your own good. I love you and miss you every day several times a day. I have had a poem published.. and could get the rest published too I'm sure. Thank you for Tyson. That son of OURS has taught me more about life then I ever learned before. May you rest easy, visit a little more often... and thank you. - Posted by: Chantel Hodgins (Girlfriend at the time) on: Nov 10, 2013
