KAYE PATTERSON In the early hours of December 25, 2004, Kaye Patterson passed away. Her loving husband of 50 years, Jack, was with her. Kaye will be deeply missed by Jack and their children, Michael, Sheila, Thomas and Jerry. Kaye is also lovingly remembered by her daughters-in-law, Lesley and Kelly; and her son-in-law Cliff. Kaye was born in Glenella, MB in 1925. She enjoyed a strong friendship with her mother, Edith Thompson, her brother Russell who died in action over France in 1944, and her sister Muriel. Muriel and her husband, Maurice Key, raised their family in England. But Kaye, true to her nature, opened her arms and her home to her niece Patricia and to her nephews Russell and John when they came to Canada. Kaye's warmth of spirit and strength of character shone in the closeness she shared with her and Jack's nine grandchildren: Lauren, Claire and Hugh Patterson of Millarville, AB; Heather, Peter, Elena and Louise Tyminski of Calgary, AB; and Ryan and Kyle Martin-Patterson of Los Angeles, CA. It was and remained this clear: Kaye loved her family and her family loved her. Kaye's friends were also an important part of her life. Many of those friendships spanned over 60 years. Laughter and spirited conversation were the hallmarks of her relationships. A service and reception to celebrate Kaye's life will be held on Thursday, December 30 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. We, her family, thank all the staff of E3 Riverview Health Centre for their professionalism and genuine warmth in caring for Kaye. In place of flowers, donations may be made to Riverview Health Centre, 1 Morley Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3L 9Z9. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE 885-9715 Family and friends are invited to sign the Book of Condolence at www.chapellawn.mb.ca
