Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY CATHERINE LORENTZ On Saturday, December 25, 2004, Christmas Day, Mary Catherine Lorentz, widow of the late Amol Lorentz, died peacefully at the Grace General Hospital at the age of 83 years. She is survived by her daughter Marion Klapprat (Glen); granddaughters, Jennifer Staerk (Vince), April Pierrepont (Jody), and Shawna Klapprat; great-grandchildren, Matthew, Cassidy and Andrew Staerk, Keara and Corbin Pierrepont and Devan Klapprat; sisters, Minnie and Esther; brother-in-law Henry; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Mary was predeceased by her husband Amol in 1979; new-born son Timothy in 1957; brother Laurence and wife Sonja; sisters, Emma and Emily; brothers, Raymond and Alexander; and brothers-in-law, Fred, Norman and Don. For many years before her retirement, Mary worked in the sewing trade at different factories and at home. She was an excellent seamstress. Mary bowled, rang bells with the Ding-a-Lings and sang with the Sweet Adelines. She was a volunteer with the Grace Hospital Auxiliary and active in her church for many years. Mary's funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in the Lutheran Church Of The Cross, 560 Arlington St. with Pastor Dr. Frank Bahr officiating. For those who wish, viewing will be held one hour prior to Mary's service. Our family would like to thank Catherine Cameron and the excellent Home Care Staff who made Mom's wish to stay in her home for as long as she could a reality. Thank you to her dear friend, Olga Lange for being there for Mom, especially during this last year; and Marva for her many rides to appointments and visits with Mom.
