ETHEL MCKNIGHT (nee DUNTHORNE) It is with deep sadness the family of Ethel McKnight announces her passing at the age of 94. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Gloria; grandsons Greg and Clayton Schnell and granddaughter Karen (Gord) Lovell. Ethel spent her life in Winnipeg and deeply cared for her parents, Susan and William. She worked various jobs, retiring from McCormick's Ltd. in 1971. Mom loved the outdoors-nature and wildlife. She had fond memories of snow shoeing with the Aurora Club and of her parents shooting lodge. When she started driving, she enjoyed travelling in her Mustang. She loved our family trips to Grand Forks. More recently, she looked forward to our frequent car rides to see the geese along River Road and to stop for an ice cream. She was a private person who loved life and seldom complained. We'll miss your smile and your funny sayings, Mom, and will always be grateful for the years of wonderful memories you've given us. We extend thanks to the entire staff of the 4th Floor Concordia Place for their care of Mom and compassion to our family. We know Mom was comfortable and happy there during the last two years. Mom, You are our sunshine, Our only sunshine. You made us happy when skies were grey. I'm sure you know, Mom how much we love you. Now our sunshine's been taken away. God Bless You, Mom. Family and friends are asked to gather at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., on Friday, December 31, at 2:00 p.m. Procession for a graveside service will take place to Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
