Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAC J. DRIEDGER Jac J. Driedger born May 16, 1918 in Grunfeld, Southern Russia, passed away December 28, 2004 at the Carman Memorial Hospital. He immigrated to Canada in 1923 with his family to Glen Bush, SK where they resided until 1925 when they moved to Blumenfeld, MB. In 1933 the family moved to the Barnsley/Carman area where he farmed until 1978 when he and mom moved to Carman. There he resided till his passing. He was baptised upon the confession of his faith, May 24, 1942. He loved to play hockey and baseball in his youth and always took an active interest in his children's activities. He was predeceased by three brothers, John, Frank (Susan), as well as George with whom he farmed for many years. He is also predeceased by three sisters, Mary (Jac) Janzen, Tina and Margaret. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Henrietta; their sons, Barry, and John and one daughter-in-law Julie; and four daughters, Carol (Terry) Bates, Cathy (Blake) McCutcheon, Wenda (Bill) Edge and Shelley (Lloyd Morden). He also leaves 11 grandchildren, Cathy Jean McCutcheon (Mike), Carol Lynne Schafer (Lance); Jennifer Funk (Gary) and son Oscar, Jason Vrooman, Bev Wardle (Kevin) and children Katelyn and Dylan, Jami Neufeld (Jason) and Malia and Avery; Jodi Roy (Jean Guy), Joy Gilbert (Derek), Joshua and Reid, Jerilyn Driedger, Debbie and Cara Edge. He is also survived by one sister Sara Driedger of Steinbach. Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 31 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Bob Pauls officiating. Interment will take place in the Greenwood Cemetery, Carman. Memorial donations may be made to the MCC, 134 Plaza Dr., Winnipeg, MB R3T 3K9.
