NELLIE KOSTELNIUK (nee WALCHUK) It is with deep regret that we announce the death of Nellie Kostelniuk on December 22, 2004 at St. Boniface Hospital. Nellie grew up on a farm near Winnipeg Beach, MB. After marrying Michael Kostelniuk in 1938, they moved near Clandeboye where they farmed for 35 years. After Michael's death in 1980, Nellie moved to Winnipeg. Also predeceased by son-in-law Tony Serediuk; daughter Jeanette Hope; grandchildren, Juri and Lindsay Kostelniuk; devoted companion Walter Demery; and brother James Walchuk. Survived by her loving son James and daughter-in-law Marge Kostelniuk; grandson Mark Serediuk and Kathy; granddaughter Sherry and husband David Kirchmann; four great-grandchildren, Kyle, Avery, Laina and Cole. Also survived by brother Clarence Walchuk; sister Jean Johnson and by her devoted companion Sam Krywchuk and by several nieces and nephews. Nellie loved old time music and dancing. She was a member of Sam Steele's line dancing group. She also loved flower gardening. You would often find her in the garden first thing in the morning, watering her plants. She loved life and truly lived it to the fullest. A memorial service will be held at Hope Centre, Christian Reformed Church at 240 Powers at Alfred at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 3, 2005. 982-4689. A private ceremony interment is planned at a later date. Flowers gratefully declined.
