IRENE CADY (nee BROWN) January 11, 1920 - December 28, 2004 Irene passed away peacefully on December 28, 2004 at Tuxedo Villa Care Home. She was predeceased by her husband Percy in 1994; mother Elizabeth Brown in 1961; and father William Brown in 1959. Irene is survived by her daughters, Beverley (Jim) Wilcox, Betty (Ernie) Wilcox; son Walter (Donna); grandchildren, Patrick, Laura (Robin), Gordon, Shirley (Shawn), Kevin and Michael, Lori; great-grandchildren, Anthony, Brett, Cheyenne, Jordan and Aidan. Irene married in 1945 and raised her family in Carberry, MB and surrounding areas. Living in Holland, MB from 1960-1968, Irene and Percy moved to Winnipeg in 1968 and resided in St. James. Prior to suffering a stroke in 1998, Irene lead an active life and was very independent. She loved Bingo and attending family gatherings. She will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the staff at Tuxedo Villa for their compassionate care of Irene during her time there. Services for Irene will be held on Monday, January 3, 2005 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment and reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Irene's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200-6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
