LILLI STUHLMUELLER October 2, 1933 - December 19, 2004 It is with great sorrow and sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of their beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, Lilli Stuhlmueller on Sunday, December 19, 2004. Lilli was predeceased by her husband Eric in March 1988; as well as her father Johann Hensel in January 1944. She leaves to cherish her many memories her daughter Karen (Doug) Haines, grandchildren, Sean and Kevin; her son Bruce (girlfriend Cheryl) and their children Chris, Mandy, Ricky and Allissa; her mother Frieda Hensel; her brother Rudy (Marlene) Hensel; sisters, Erica (Helmut) Woyke, Irene (Arnold) Steinhilber; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. Mom was born in Mangalia, Romania and endured a difficult war-time childhood in Europe. She married Eric in 1956 and immigrated to Canada shortly thereafter. The majority of her working years were spent as a nurses aid at St. Amant Centre, from where she retired in 1997. She also travelled extensively with Eric during his years with Toastmasters, and enjoyed meeting people from around the world. During her retirement she enjoyed gardening, spending time with her grandsons, friends, and her church Bible study group. Although Lilli struggled with heart disease from an early age, she was determined to live a full and joyous life, keeping a positive attitude regardless of the circumstances. Her lovable personality drew everyone to her and she was able to make many friends easily. A service of celebration for Lilli will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 7, 2005 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of Royal Canadian Mint) with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Lilli's memory to Willowlake Baptist Church, 45 Willowlake Cres., Winnipeg, MB, R2J 2Z4 or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200-6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3L 9Z9. If friends so desire, friends are invited to sign the Book of Condolences at www.obituariestoday.com Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 455 LAGIMODIERE BLVD. 982-7550
