FRANCES LUBILANECKI (nee COLOUMBE) Peacefully, on December 30, 2004, with her family by her side, our cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Frances Lubilanecki, passed away at the Concordia Hospital. Frances was born April 22, 1915 to Frank and Emilienne Coloumbe in Montreal, the eldest of nine children. She leaves to mourn and cherish her memory her daughter Michelle (Ron) Beaudin, granddaughter, Serena (Kevin) Stearns; great-grandson Augustus Stearns; sister Theresa Craig of Calgary; sister-in-law Theresa Coloumbe of Langley, BC; many nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends and of course, her faithful pet Toby. Frances was predeceased by her parents, her husband John, granddaughter Shauna, brothers, Ralph and Joseph and her sisters, Madge, Philomene, Genevieve and Irene. Frances was a loving, giving person, always with a kind word or smile for anyone she met. She was a people person, who was always there for you, to listen and then to provide her own personal advice. Frances's early working years included working at an old Transcona landmark, the Oxford Grill and later on she also was employed by Century Motors cafeteria. Her cooking skills were appreciated by many and none more so than by her family. Frances had been an active member and volunteer for many years at the Blessed Sacrament Parish, which also included her membership with with CWL. Lately, she had been enjoying her participation at the Park Manor Day Group. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of 3rd Floor West, Concordia, for the compassionate care extended to our mother and grandmother. Prayers and Mass will be conducted on Monday, January 3, at 11:00 a.m. at the Blessed Sacrament Parish, 425 Rousseau Avenue East, with Fr. Jerry Ward officiating.
