HERBERT F. BARNETT October 27, 1929 - December 31, 2004 With deep sorrow we announce the sudden passing of our much loved husband, father, and Papa on December 31 at the age of 75. Herb will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Yvonne and his children, Dawn (Brad), Scott (Darlene), Lance (Sharon), Colleen (Claude), Shawn (Donna-Lynn), and Tracy (Michael). Precious to him were his grandchildren, Christopher, Marcie, Erin, Ashley, Travis, Kristal, Nicole, Donavan, Patrick, Sara, Khyber, Carter, and Leah. Herb is survived by his brothers, William, Don, and Ted; and sisters, Millie and Diane. He was predeceased by brothers, Tom and Frank; and sisters, Kay, Helen, and Lillian. Herb also leaves behind a large extended family and special friends. Herb worked for the Seven Oaks School Division for over 30 years. He loved all the children and staff. Herb also was an active member of the Knights of Columbus. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, January 4, at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 5, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony's of Padua Church, 250 Burrin Ave., Msgr. Michael Moore officiating. Service will conclude at the church with cremation to follow. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in lieu of flowers. We will all miss you.   • I was a student at one of the schools Herb worked at many, many years ago. The fact that I cared enough to google him some 20 years later is a testament to how well liked he was by students.
