SOPHIE MCCULLOCH (nee HRYNK) Peacefully Sophie passed away on January 1, 2005 at the age of 88. Sophie was born in Winnipeg on November 17, 1916. She was married to Arthur Hamilton McCulloch on October 7, 1939 who predeceased her on October 18, 1977. Sophie was predeceased by her mother and father, Rose and Alex Hrynk; brothers, Michael and Stanley; and several of Arthur's family. Sophie is survived by one son Daniel A. McCulloch and his wife Barbara; daughter Patricia D. Marchyshyn and husband G. Eldon and grandchildren, Eldon Jr. and Shannon Somers; and one sister Annie Boyar; and several nieces and nephews. Sophie worked during the Second World War at J.R. Watkins until she had her children. She then worked part time at The Hub Fruit, The Donut House and East Kildonan School Division until her retirement. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to either The Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 6 at 1:30 p.m. with viewing one half hour prior to service in the Chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
