DOROTHY (DOLLY) HART ROWE (nee NELSON) Dolly passed away peacefully in her sleep at St. Boniface Hospital, 9:10 a.m. on December 30, 2004, at the age of 92. She was born at Gateshead, England, on March 9, 1912, the daughter of Jack and Margaret Nelson. Left to mourn are her only living son Derek and daughter-in-law Florence (Flo); daughter-in-law Sally; niece Irene; grandchildren, Nelson, Jacqueline and Jason; great-grandchildren, Jaylyn, Ryan, Jennifer and Ken; as well as relatives in England. Dolly came to Canada in 1952 with her husband, Cliff and two sons, Derek and Richard. She was predeceased by her son Richard, in 1974; and by her husband Cliff, in 1993; as well as both parents; and her brothers, Robbie, Percy, Ronnie; and sister Nan, and brother and sisters-in-law. The funeral service will be held at Green Acres Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 5 at 2:00 p.m., with viewing one half hour prior to the service. Pastor James Hiebert will officiate. Cremation will follow, and interment will be at a later date at the Green Acres Cemetery Columbarium. We would like to thank the wonderful devoted staff of the Palliative Care Ward, and especially Dorothy's home care nurse, Louise, who also became her special friend in her time of need while at home for nearly three years. In lieu of flowers, those so wishing to may make donations to the St. Boniface Palliative Care Endowment Fund at the St. Boniface Hospital.
