IRIS EVA ARNOLD Peacefully, Iris Arnold passed away at The Manitoba Developmental Centre in Portage la Prairie, MB, on Friday, December 31, 2004. Iris was born in Winnipeg on March 11, 1938, and spent her early years there and in Ashern, MB. She became a patient at The Manitoba Developmental Centre May 9, 1951, and was a resident of Groveby North at the time of her passing. Iris was predeceased by her parents George and Evelyn Arnold; and brother Gilbert, all of Gimli, MB. She is survived by sister June (Herb) Price of Ashern; brothers, George (Ruth) of Edmonton, William (Ruth) of Clandeboye; and sister-in-law Donna of Gimli. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 5, 2005, at Gilbart's Funeral Home in Gimli at 2:00 p.m., Pastor Dave Saude officiating. Interment in the Gimli Community Cemetery. A memorial service will be held in the Aspen Worship Centre at the Manitoba Developmental Centre in Portage la Prairie on Monday, January 10 at 1:30 p.m. The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to all the staff at MDC for their care of Iris over the years that she spent there.
