KERRY DEAN KAUK Suddenly after shovelling snow on December 31, 2004. Kerry leaves his wife of 18 years, Gail; daughters, Courtney, 13 and Kendra, 11; his father Louis Kauk; his sisters, Carol Stewart (Bob), Anita Barlow (David); Marylou Hadden (Stan), Mona Turcotte, Penny Kau (Klaus) and Dawn Kauk; his brother Kevin (Alison); sister-in-law Linda Kauk; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Albert and Delsie Cousineau; sisters-in-law, Val Cousineau (Jim Bromley), Janine Cousineau (David Andrechuk); brothers-in-law, Glenn and Donald Cousineau; Godchildren, Bradley Kauk, Spencer Hadden, Stephanie Kauk; numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his mother Mary Kauk; brother Donald Kauk; and three brothers-in-law, Paul Turcotte, Laurent Lamoureux and Carman Hinds. Kerry was born on October 29, 1959. He resided in Transcona all of his life and walked or rode his bike to work midnight shift at CNR Shops. Kerry was involved in the CAW union in many capacities such as Local Chair and leaves a vacancy as President of Local 4002. He fought hard for the rights of workers and was particularly troubled by the handling of employees by CNR new management. A service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 6 in Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. No. 1 East at Navin Road, Pastor Dan Abraham officiating. Anyone wishing to attend is welcome to come. In lieu of flowers donations may be made towards Transcona Rec. Park, P.O. Box 62088, 104 Regent Ave. East, Winnipeg, MB R2C 5G2, Payable to E.W.S.A. (Kauk Memorial).   • While my personal friendship with Kerry was brief, I know that he was a man who worked tirelessly on behalf of the union membership. He also valued and was protective of time with his family.
