SUSAN PALANUK (HEICHERT)
Date of Passing: Dec 31, 2004
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySUSAN PALANUK (nee HEICHERT) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of wife, mother, nanny and grandma Susan Palanuk (nee Heichert). Susan passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, December 31, 2004. Susan was predeceased by her brothers, Ernie Heichert and William Heichert; her brothers-in-law, William Morrison and James McColgan. She leaves to mourn her loving husband of 63 years Fred Palanuk; her sons, Garth (Karen) and Richard (Jo-Anne); grandchildren, Jennifer, Andrew and Adam; sisters, Clem Morrison, Marilyn Bailey and Edith McColgan; brothers Harold Heichert (Shirley), Edward Heichert (Lorraine); and sisters-in-law, Doreen Heichert and Olga Heichert; cousin Frank Pisa (Lynda); many nieces and nephews and countless friends. Susan was a great spirit. She extended this spirit to all of her family, friends, neighbours and community. She was a nurturer, a caregiver, a lover and a friend. She gave of herself willingly, providing care and support to all who came under her wing. Her volunteerism provided her an opportunity to extend this loving and caring to those she did not know. She will be greatly, sadly missed by all who have had the privilege to share her love. It was Susan's request that in lieu of flowers, donations in her memory be made to the Grace Lutheran Church Building Fund. Memorial Service will take place on Thursday, January 6, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 211 Kimberly Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R2K 0X3. Interment, for the immediate family, will follow. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN EDEN FUNERAL HOME 4477 MAIN STREET 338-7111 Friends and family are invited to sign the Book of Condolences at www.gleneden-mb.ca

Dear Garth: - Our sincerest condolences to you at this sorrowful time. It has been a long time since we have seen/spoke to each other, however we are thinking of you at this sad time. Ralph and Jeanette - Posted by: Ralph and Jeanette Bullock (Co-Worker) on: Jan 09, 2005

Fred, your family is in our thoughts and prayers. My family got to know you and Sue when my parents Jerry and Verna Henry built at 444. I will miss talking to Sue by phone--even though we didn't see each other regularly, we could just talk and continue as friends. She was always cheerful, supportive, and caring. She enjoyed talking about you and her family--she was very proud of all of you and your love enriched her life. Unfortunately, I received the news too late on Thursday to be there with you--through two different families (Frieda Goertz, Joan Schultz).
