Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRERE JEAN-MARIE TREMBLAY, o.m.i. 1927 - 2004 Paisiblement, apres une longue maladie, a l'hopital de Saint-Boniface est decede le Frere Jean-Marie Tremblay, o.m.i. le jeudi, 30 decembre 2004 l'age de 77 ans. En plus de sa famille religieuse, Les Oblats de Marie Immaculee, il laisse dans le deuil ses freres Gilles et Fernand Tremblay, Amedee Gourdeau, soeurs Yvette Tremblay et Pauline Boucher. Jean-Marie est ne a Montreal, Quebec le 18 juin 1927, fils de Ludger Tremblay et de Delima Cote. Le 11 mai 1944, il prit l'habit chez les Oblats de Marie Immaculee a Richelieu, Quebec et prononca ses voeux perpetuels le 11 mai 1950 Richelieu. C'est au service du diocese de Churchill qu'oeuvre le Frere Tremblay entre les annees 1950 et 1987. Il fut nomme econome du diocese en 1987 jusqu'en 1992. En 1992, la maladie l'oblige de prendre sa retraite a la Casa Bonita ou il s'occupait de la tache d'assistant a la bibliotheque. Il fut un sejour d'un an en 1999 a Saint-Agathe-des-Monts Quebec et est revenu a la Casa Bonita en 2000. Les Oblats et la famille Tremblay desirent exprimer leur reconnaissance au personnel a la Casa Bonita, au Docteurs Rabson et Caron-Boulet et au personnel de l'hopital St-Boniface pour leur devouement. Les prieres auront lieu le mercredi 5 janvier 2005 a 19h00 a la Salle Aubert, 474, rue Aulneau. La messe de la Resurrection sera celebree le jeudi 6 janvier 2005 a 10h00 au 474, rue Aulneau. L'inhumation au cimetiere de Saint-Boniface. BROTHER JEAN-MARIE TREMBLAY, o.m.i. 1927 - 2004 Peacefully, on Thursday, December 30, 2004 at the Saint-Boniface Hospital, Brother Jean-Marie Tremblay passed away at the age of 77. Besides his religious family, he leaves to mourn his brothers, Gilles and Fernand Tremblay, Amedee Goudreau; sisters, Yvette Tremblay and Pauline Boucher. Jean-Marie was born in Montreal, QC, son of Ludger Tremblay and Delima Cote. He entered the Oblates of Mary Immaculate in Richelieu, QC on May 11, 1944 and pronounced his perpetual vows May 11, 1950 in Richelieu. Brother Tremblay spent the next 42 years in the services of the diocese of Churchill, the last five as treasurer. His declining health forced him to retire at the Casa Bonita in Saint-Boniface in 1992 where he dedicated his time working in the library. In 1999, he left the province to reside in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, QC but returned to the Casa Bonita in the year 2000. The Oblates and the Tremblay family wish to thank the personnel at the Casa Bonita, Drs. Rabson and Caron-Boulet and the personnel at St-Boniface Hospital for their care and devotion to Brother Tremblay. A prayer vigil will be held at on Wednesday, January 5, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at the Salle Aubert, 474 Aulneau St. A funeral mass for Brother Tremblay, will be celebrated on Thursday, January 6 at 10:00 a.m., 474 Aulneau St. Interment will take place in the St-Boniface Cemetery.
