SIMONNE MARIE ELIZABETH BELANGER (nee DAVID) 1920 - 2005 Peacefully, on January 3, 2005 at her home, Simonne passed away in her sleep, at the age of 84. Simonne will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Claudette; sons, Ronald (Christine), Edmond and Paul; and her grandchildren, Kelly, Michael, Douglas and Anna. Mom was born in Carruthers, SK, and has lived in Quebec, then moved to Manitoba where she spent the remainder of her life. She was married to Jules for 53 years, who predeceased her in 1999. Mom was a homemaker who was always busy baking bread, pies, and tourtiere and making sure family and friends were the happy recipients of these. In her later years, Mom was affected by macular degeneration and lastly a serious heart condition. Mom was active till her last day with us. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on January 7 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). Interment will take place in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the reception centre. Flowers gratefully declined.
