LUCIA ROBERT (nee GOFFART) 1917 - 2005 Peacefully, on January 3, 2005, Lucia Robert (nee Goffart), our beloved mother, memere and grand-memere, passed away at age 87. Lucia was predeceased by her husband Louis Joseph Farmer , her infant son Leo and her daughter-in-law Helene Robert. Mom will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her children, Louis, Jacqueline (Allan), Rita (Lucien), Denis, Reginald (Ghislaine), Soeur Claudette S.J.S.H., Diane (Louis), Jean-Paul (Margaret), Suzanne (Brunel), Louise, Joanne (Roger), Danielle (Howard), Marc, and Guy (Teresa). Very precious to her were her 24 grandchildren and their spouses, as well as her 22 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sister Henriette Dufort. Lucia held a special place in her heart for the Oblate Fathers, for whom she worked for many years as head cook at the Villa Maria Retreat House. Once widowed, Mom became one of the driving forces behind the eventual success of a budding greenhouse operation. The beautiful wedding cakes, the never-ending new and delicious recipes, the imaginative crafts, many were the recipient of these. It warms our hearts to remember Mom at her cottage where she found solace and peace. Mom, you so believed in prayer always finding your answers in our Saviour Many challenges you endured but your faith brought miracles ensured. Maman, votre plus precieux cadeau transmis celui de la force interieure inebranlable Vous nous avez premierement aimes et dans notre coeur toujours vous y serez Prayers will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 5 at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 DesMeurons St. Funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 6 at St. Adolphe Roman Catholic Church in St. Adolphe, MB, with Fr. Michaud, O.M.I. presiding. Interment of the cremated remains will follow at the St. Adolphe Parish Cemetery.
