MARIA P. VAN BEVEREN It is with deep sadness that the family of Maria Van Beveren announces the passing of their Mother and Oma. After a long and courageous battle, Maria went to join her Lord Sunday, January 2, 2005, at the age of 82 years. Maria was predeceased by her husband Len Van Beveren July 1, 1981; and leaves to mourn her daughter and best friend Jeanine (Larry); sons, Walter (Christine), John (Cathy), Len (Sherry); grandchildren, Lee (Jaye), Micheal, Candace (Jason), Rebecca, Josh, Jared, and Lloyd, all of East Selkirk. Maria enjoyed the greenhouses, her flower beds and planters, having friends in for coffee, and going to Bingo with Jeanine, Lucy, and Olga. The family would like to offer a special Thank you to the home care aides who did such a tremendous job of looking after Maria over the past months. The family would also like to thank the staff at the Selkirk Regional Hospital and Dr. Demsas for their kindness and support. A family graveside service will be held, followed by a service celebrating Maria's life, at the Covenant Christian Reformed Church, 653 Knowles Ave., North Kildonan, 3:00 p.m. Thursday, January 6. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk, in care of arrangements.
