EARLE HILL On January 3, 2005, Earle Hill passed away at the age of 79. He was predeceased by his wife Dorothy; parents, Ernest and Lottie; and brother Walter. Earle is survived by his sister Alice Allard of St. Catharines, ON; and will also be missed by his stepchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Earle was born here in Winnipeg and grew up in the Brooklands area. He was in the R.C.A.F. as a fireman during the Second World War. Earle was active with the C.N.I.B. and had many friends there, enjoying bowling and singing in the choir. He was also a former member of the Studebaker Club and the Court Atomic I.O.F. Earle loved travelling and animals. He was a quiet, independent man with a great sense of dry humour. The family would like to thank all the people who are living at the Bluebird Lodge for their help, care and friendship. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 7 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. with viewing one half hour prior to the service. Interment and reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the C.N.I.B., 1080 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3G 3M3.
