MICHAEL GEOFFREY MORGAN SPARKS It is with great sadness that we announce, on Monday, January 3, 2005 at the Portage District General Hospital, Michael Geoffrey Morgan Sparks of Portage la Prairie passed away at the age of 78 years. Funeral service will be held in the Aspen Centre of the Manitoba Developmental Centre, Portage la Prairie on Tuesday, January 11, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. with Chaplain Ron Siemens officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Lake Cemetery, Oak Lake, MB. Michael was born on July 14, 1926 in Oak Lake, MB. He resided in Oak Lake until 1932 when he was admitted to the M.D.C. Michael spent his life in silence. He made many friends for a man who didn't have to much to say. Michael was predeceased by his parents, John Langdon and Gertrude Sparks; two brothers, Peter and Evan. He leaves to mourn his passing his extended family and he will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Thank you to the staff of M.D.C. who took excellent care of him throughout the years and to Jake Sawatsky who faithfully remained his friend throughout time.
