ROGER GINGRAS October 30, 1936 - December 31, 2004 It is with extremely heavy hearts that we announce the sudden and untimely passing of Roger. He leave to mourn and cherish his memory forever, his wife Gloria; his son Maurice and wife Gail; his son Marc and wife Kim; his daughter Lisa and husband Michael; his grandchildren, Keith, Nycolle, Tara, Brendan and Alyssa; his sister Aurare and husband John Pinette; his sister Rita and husband Leon Leconte; his sister Bella Gamache; his brother Remi and wife Hugette Gingras; his sister Aline and husband Rene Courscelle; his sister Yvonne Bouchard; his brother Harvey and wife Claudette Gingras; his sister Lucille and husband Robert Legal; his sister-in-law Therssa Gingras and brother-in-law Frank Delaurier; numerous nieces, nephews and countless lifetime friends. Roger was predeceased by his father and mother, Eugenne and Claire; his sisters, Irene and Geraldine and his brother Omer. Roger was born in Ste. Rose in 1936 and was raised on the family farm in Laurier. He married Gloria in 1962. They farmed and raised their family east of McCreary. Roger and Gloria retired in 1998 and spent the last seven winters in Texas, where they meet many new and lifelong friends. Roger's life evolved around his family and friends. Roger enjoyed nothing more than spending time with the people he loved. He always had something to say and could talk to anyone. During the past 10 years Roger became very involved with his children and their businesses. He did it because he enjoyed helping people and being around others. Roger had a zest for life. His friendly, fun loving nature and generosity were always admired be all who had the pleasure to know him. A service to celebrate Roger's life was held on Wednesday, January 5, 2005 at Our Lady of the Nativity Roman Catholic Church in McCreary. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the McCreary/Alonsa Personal Care Home, Patio Garden Fund, Box 250 McCreary, MB R0J 1B0. Dobchuk-Anderson Funeral Home of McCreary was entrusted with funeral arrangements. Telephone (204) 835-2004.
