LEONA KELLER It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Leona, aged 85, on January 4, 2005 at the Gimli Community Health Centre, with her family by her side. Mom was born in Meleb, MB on November 14, 1919 to Anton and Michalina Gottfried. A longtime resident of Camp Morton, she farmed alongside her husband Rudolph, while raising seven children. Mom was very devoted to her family and enjoyed many visits from them. She enjoyed her later years at New Horizons and Rotary Towers where she resided till her passing. She will be dearly missed by her children, Richard (Betty), Martin (Carol), Ken (Jane), Albert, Sylvia (Luc Leclerc) Mary-Anne (David Bergman) and Bernice (Lynn Greenberg); 19 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and many friends. She leaves two sisters-in-law, Martha Gottfried of Gimli, Annie Dansereau of Red Lake and brother-in-law Joe Keller of New York. She was predeceased by her husband Rudolph; grandson Jason; and great-granddaughter Marie. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, January 8 at 10:30 a.m. in the St. Michaels Roman Catholic Church in Gimli with Fr. Art Seaman officiating. A private burial of ashes will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Gilbart Funeral Home, Gimli in care of arrangements.
