BILL KOWALCHUK Far too soon, with his loving family at his side, Bill Kowalchuk passed away peacefully on January 4, 2005 at the Palliative Care Unit, St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 55 years. Bill was predeceased by his father Andrew Kowalczyk and his stepmother Doris Kowalczyk in 2004 and his stepfather Danny Kuzenko in 1998. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Darlene; mother Olga Kuzenko; sister Marika Barchuk; Ruffus Kennedy; inlaws, Helen and Mike Moroz, Chris (Ivan) Seneshen, Sandi (Rick) Kosowan; nieces and nephews, Kim (Paul) Prendergrast and Kelly Seneshen and Roger Gosselin. Also left to mourn are many extended family members. Bill loved everything life had to offer. He loved his family; his friends; his MGB sports cars, travelling, coffee at McDonalds and especially his cats who miss him too. He enjoyed his careers as a radio announcer, personnel consultant and operating his own business. Above everything, Bill loved freedom. Perhaps now his is truly free. He will forever be in our hearts. Our heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at HSC Emergency, HSC G6 Ward and the Homecare program. Special thanks to the Palliative Care Ward at St. Boniface Hospital for their competent and compassionate care given to Bill and his family. It was truly appreciated. A very special thanks to Diana Rasmussen, Exec. Director of the ALS Society and the ALS team at Deer Lodge Hospital. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 8 at 9:30 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Interment to follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Flowers are gratefully declined. In memory of Bill, donations may be made to the ALS Society of Manitoba or the Palliative Care Endowment Fund. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
