Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDONALD MCEWAN ( SHEP ) SHEPHERD Peacefully, after a battle with progressive supranuclear palsy, on January 3, 2005 at St. Michael's Hospital, Toronto. Don was born in Winnipeg on December 9, 1935 to Frank and Enid Shepherd. Mourned by his loving children, Erin, Stacey, Camille and C.R. Predeceased by his parents, his brother Cam (1977) and his first wife Barbara (1993). Survived and much missed by his brother Jim and family of Winnipeg, and by Ina van Berkel of Toronto. The family would like to thank their many friends for the incredible support they have shown. We also thank the staff at St. Michael's Hospital, the caregivers at SRT Med-Staff, and the staff of the Isabel and Arthur Meighen Manor. The family would also like to express their sincere gratitude for the comfort, care and love provided by Don's beloved companion, Liz. Following graduation from the University of Manitoba (B.A.) and University of Toronto (M.B.A.), Don spent several years with Ford Motor in Oakville, before entering the investment business. During a career that included stints with Richardson Securities, Pitfield McKay Ross, Draper Dobie, and finally Dominion Securities, Shep became well known as an institutional equity salesman. Shep was also an avid, if impatient, golfer and longtime member of Lambton G CC. A celebration of Don's life will be held at Lambton, 100 Scarlett Rd., Toronto, on Wednesday, January 12 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. If desired, memorial donations can be made to the Society for Progressive Supranuclear Palsy at www.psp.org or the St. Michael's Hospital Palliative Care Ward, 30 Bond St., Toronto, M5B 1W8.
