WILLIAM KAGAN 1938 - 2004 On Thursday, December 30, 2004, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, William (Bill) Kagan, beloved husband of Sandra, passed away. He was predeceased by his parents Jack and Goldie Kagan. Bill retired from the Canadian National Railway in 1993, where he worked for 36 years. He was well known for his lively discussions on everything from politics and business to sports. His children, grandson and expected grandchild were his pride and joy. Bill will be sadly missed by his wife of 42 years, Sandra; son Jamie (Kori) and grandson Dylan; daughter Marni (Joe); brother Larry; sisters-in-law, Gertie Kowall, Lil Feuer and Anne Cohan; plus many nieces, nephews and cousins. The funeral was held on Friday, December 31. Rabbi Peretz Weizman officiated. Burial took place at the B'nay Abraham Cemetery. The family would like to thank Dr. Kevin Saunders, Dr. Piotr Czaykowski, the nurses at CancerCare Manitoba and the staff on 3E at Riverview Health Centre for their excellent care and compassion. If desired, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or to the Asper Jewish Community Campus. Gone but not forgotten.
