JOAN MAY OSADCHUK (nee EVANS) It is with deep sadness in our hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our wife, and mother Joan May Osadchuk on Sunday, December 19, 2004. Joan was born April 15, 1935 in Winnipeg to her parents, Edward and Violet, whom she lost at a young age. She is survived by her brother Edward and sister-in-law Ollie. As well as her sister Lyn. She was married to the love of her life Ed in 1954 whom she recently celebrated fifty wonderful years of marriage together with. She was predeceased by her in-laws, John and Lillian Osadchuk, but is survived by her brother-in-law Bill and sister-in-law Dee of Vancouver, WA. Also sister-in-law Judy and husband Gary of Winnipeg. During their life together Mum and Dad delighted in the births of their two daughters, Jo-Anne (husband Rick, grandchildren, Jennifer, Andrew, Amanda (husband Dustin)), and Cindy (husband Todd, grandson Joel). Grandma enjoyed every moment she could with her grandchildren. She was equally proud of all their achievements in life, and they in turn loved her and enjoyed all the special times they spent with her. Mum also leaves in sadness many nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbours that she enjoyed many special memories with as well. Joan was a very special lady who loved to travel and meet people. She treated everyone she met as though they were her own family. She may not have remembered your name but a face she would never forget. In life she displayed all the fruits of the spirit the bible talks about. She was always loving, joyful, patient and kind She displayed goodness, faithfulness, and self control. During her last weeks in life she had an incredible inner peace. Joan was the best wife, mother, grandmother and friend anyone could ever have. We have all been so blessed knowing her and our lives have all been enriched by her presence. Mum you are now at peace, your battle is over you are now at rest in Heaven and free of pain. You will be sadly missed here, but we will be brave and keep you in our hearts forever. We Love You. The family would like to thank all of Mum's doctors and nurses for their compassionate care during Mum's illness. In lieu of flowers a donation in Joan's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice. Thank you to all who gave unselfishly during this time. A private family memorial service has been held in Mum's memory according to her wishes. Arrangements entrusted to: VOYAGE FUNERAL HOME CREMATORIUM 220 Hespeler Ave @ Henderson Hwy. 668-3151
