ART DAVIES Art Davies, aged 74, passed away January 6, 2005 with his wife and daughter at his side. He leaves his wife Muriel of 51 years; and daughter Lesley; son Bill; and two grandsons, Jim and Ben who he was very proud of. He worked in the CNR shop for 40 years, was the first pipe fitter to take up the trade, and also spent time in the Navy Reserves. When Art retired he loved spending time at his cottage by the lake. His life was the lake and he made many friends there. During his retirement he took up the position as manager of Minaki Land Fill. His interaction with the bears at the landfill was legendary and this was known as far away as Vancouver. He is at peace now, and at Art's request no formal service will be held. Donations may be made to the Cancer Society. The family would like to thank all the nurses on 3 west at the Concordia Hospital for their compassion and care.
