FLOYD EDWARD BARKHOUSE 1932 - 2005 It is with great sadness that the family of Floyd Edward Barkhouse announces his passing on January 6, 2005 at the age of 73. Dad will be dearly missed by his children, Brent, daughter-in-law Jane, Scott (Marion), Judy and son-in-law Armando, as well as daughter-in-law Karen. Also his grandchildren and light in his eyes, Brent Jr., Adam, Brittany, Jessica, Evan and Noah - thumbs up Grandpa! Brub also leaves to mourn his sister Connie (Hurley) and husband Ron of Qualicum Beach, BC; and sister-in-law Betty King. He will also be missed by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother Grace Lafleur. He has gone to join our beloved Nanny King and niece Joanne. Floyd was born in Kentville, NS on August 6, 1932. He resided in Montreal for many years and was a self-employed painting contractor. Floyd lived there until 1975 when he moved his family to Winnipeg. He left behind childhood friend Austin (Boner) as well as many others who have gone before him. Floyd cherished his friends and the many people he met along the way on his journey here on earth. What we will remember and cherish most about Dad is his never ending sense of humour as well as his love of history, cooking, painting and travelling to the ocean. Also his love of classical music shared with daughter Judy will always be remembered. The family would also like to thank the caregivers at Heritage Park Lodge and doctors and staff at the Grace Hospital for their support. Dad had the opportunity during his life to travel to Thailand and in honour of his lifelong respect for giving we ask in lieu of flowers donations be given to the Asia Earthquake and Relief Fund.
